Ronny Paulino lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 2 RBI as the Tampico
Stogies topped the St. Paul Saints by a score of 7 to 3 at SAFECO
Field.
Tampico claimed the early lead in the first inning when they scored 3 runs on
3 hits. The key at-bat was by Mark Grudzielanek who deflated the mood of the
partisan fans when he doubled plating two runs. Tampico had 11 hits overall,
while St. Paul had 7.
Shaun Marcum(4-6) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 innings and allowing
3 runs. Manny Corpas earned the save, his 9th. Jarrod Washburn(2-7) was the
losing pitcher. He pitched 6 and 1/3 innings giving up 7 hits and 5 walks.
